5/9/2022: Mourning the loss of Curt Bergfors

It is with great sadness we share that Curt Bergfors, founder of MAX, principal owner and working Chairman of the Board, has passed away on May 8, 2022. He leaves behind his wife, four children, grandchildren, as well as relatives and friends. Curt was a visionary with a wealth of ideas and knowledge, something that has characterized MAX’s development and growth throughout the entire history of the company. His commitment to societal issues and sustainability has also had great impact far beyond the company and the country of Sweden. 

4/7/2022: MAX Burgers is introducing three Chicken Sandwiches in their all-new Grand Chicken menu

The Chicken Sandwich trend has grown quickly in the USA and MAX Burgers, famously looking for exciting new flavours, is now launching a completely new menu with their take on the trend, Grand Chicken. The new addition is MAX's biggest product launch since 2016 when the Swedish burger chain introduced the Green Family – a line of lacto-ovo vegetarian burgers.

2/2/2021: MAX Burger’s plant-based burger crowned winner in the Quality Innovation Award 2020

MAX Burgers is one of this year's Swedish winners of the international award Quality Innovation. The award aims to reward innovations and inspire innovators to believe in their ideas, MAX is awarded for the work and development of the plant-based burger Delifresh Plant Beef.

12/11/2019: Award winner MAX wants to inspire companies to become Climate Positive

MAX Burgers received “Global Climate Action Award” by the UN at COP25 in Madrid:On December 10th, the Swedish family owned company MAX Burgers received one of this year's UN Global Climate Action Awards. MAX, as the only European company in the Climate Neutral Now category, was awarded for their work with climate positive products, a scalable solution adapted by eight companies already. Now MAX is aiming for inspiring to a movement of climate positive products as well as establishing a global standard for climate positive.

9/27/2019: The UN praises MAX and climate positive

On September 26, the UN announced that the Swedish family company MAX Burgers is one of the winners of this year's Global Climate Action Award and the only European company in the category "Go Climate Neutral Now". MAX is praised for its work with climate positive, which is highlighted as a solution for the climate that works for other companies to follow.

8/14/2019: Fifth MAX opening in Poland

On August 14, the residents of Poznań will be able to taste Swedish burgers. On this day at 10.00 am on Hetmańska Street 82a the first MAX Premium Burgers restaurant will open. Everyone interested in the unique menu of the Swedish chain will be able to chose from a wide range of classic, vegetarian and vegan options.

5/23/2019: MAX’s menu grows with new innovation- Launches plant-based burger, Delifresh Plant Beef

On May 23rd, MAX Burgers is launching a self-developed burger that looks and tastes like meat, but is made from plant-based protein: Delifresh Plant Beef. It’s a unique Swedish innovation that has been developed under the leadership of head chef Jonas Mårtensson. The initiative is a big step forward in MAX’s work to reduce its climate impact – without backing down on taste and quality.

10/25/2018: MAX strengthens management team with Claes Petersson on a new role

Claes Petersson has accepted the position as Vice President / Innovation and Development Manager for MAX Burgers globally and begins on December 1st. The role has been tailored to Claes Petersson's  extensive skills and international experience in the retail and restaurant business.

10/31/2015: Max continues its Scandinavian expansion – opens new restaurant in Denmark

On October 31, 2015, the doors to Max’ second restaurant in Denmark opened. The new restaurant is located in the newly opened “Big” mall in Herlev, approx. 15 minutes from Copenhagen.

Once again Max Hamburgers has been awarded for most sustainable brand within the business.

3/17/2015: Max continues growing in Norway

Today, March 17, Max opens its forth restaurant in Norway. The plans are to continue growing on the Norwegian market and the goal is to have restuarant in the future.
