Statement on MAX Burgers proactive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic

First, we would like to express our deepest regrets that there are employees feeling that their concerns regarding remote work has not been met. We strive towards being a reliable and safe employer and the COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge to us all – as individuals, as a company and as a society. Daily, the crisis carried with the pandemic puts us in front of new and difficult decisions.

MAX main priority during the COVID-19 pandemic has always been to implement measures necessary to limit spread of the disease in our work-related environment, all in accordance with the new temporary act to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We have also developed multiple solutions aiming to maintain our high level of service while providing our guests with different safe options to order burgers.

More than 98 % of our employees work in restaurants and we have taken several measures to help keeping our employees safe. For instance, we have limited travelling, cancelled educational courses, and reviewed our routines on how to keep safe distances in our office spaces. We have imposed digital meetings, increased cleaning routines, and reminded employees of the importance of taking sanitary measures as well as staying home in case of any symptoms of illness.

The restaurant industry is facing major negative consequences from the COVID-19 pandemic, but contrary to others in our sector, we have managed to maintain employment.

We are committed to serving our guests and to put that into practice, everyone in our organization need to help each other as we are all in this together.
